FAA Drone Registration Is Now Open And Working Properly
While there’s no need for me to go through the particulars on drone registration as they can be found on multiple sites, including DroneTechReport, I can say that the FAA site for drone registration appears to be open.
While I hope to start the registration process when I get a few free moments, if you choose to register now, here’s the link I was provided by multiple sources: https://registermyuas.faa.gov/
I’ll add that I’m a bit miffed that this address is not easily found on the FAA.gov website as if you go to http://www.faa.gov/uas/registration/, you’ll see this:
It seems the “Register Now” button is missing.
UPDATE: December, 21, 2015 – 3pm Eastern
I was able to navigate to the registration page from the FAA.gov site and I’m pleased to report the process was easy, efficient and completed without issue. Once the correct page was located the entire process only took five minutes of my time.
